IT IS thought that Yuleba is an Aboriginal word meaning "place of water lilies" - and that's exactly what inspired Yuleba State School's Small Town Culture film clip.

Yuleba - Who We Are features the town's 32 primary school students singing their hearts out, as part of Josh Arnold's Small Town Culture project.

Mr Arnold worked with the school and the Yuleba community to create the music video.

Principal Anitta Brown said Mr Arnold visited the town twice last year to write the music and film the clip.

"We filmed all the children at a lake at a local property," she said.

"They learnt about the art of writing a song, brainstorming and getting the message across."

Ms Brown said the students filmed jumping out of the lake represented water lilies, blossoming through their education.

"They represent the lily coming out of the water," she said.

The educator said Mr Arnold had recently delighted the community with another visit to launch the video.

Ms Brown said she had goose bumps watching the finished product.

"It's such a nice moment to see," she said.

The video was the first to be released in the Roma Cluster project.

Songs produced at schools in the region will also feature on the Roma Cluster iTunes Album to be launched at the 2015 Easter in the Country Festival in Roma.
