Young girl attacked by dog at Toowoomba home

BREAKING: A young girl has been attacked by a dog at a Harristown home this afternoon.

The five-year-old girl has suffered "deep puncture marks" in both legs in the attack about 3.30pm at a private residence.

Queensland Ambulance reports the girl has suffered injuries to both her legs and has been taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

A QAS spokeswoman was unable to confirm what type of dog was involved in the attack.
