Young boy struck on highway utters his first words

AFTER five agonising days waiting with baited breath Hannah Green finally heard her eight-year-old son Jaxon speak for the first time since he was struck by a car on the Warrego Highway last week.

"They are unsure of when he will wake up completely but has opened his eyes and said 'mum' on Thursday afternoon," Mrs Green said.

A family member close to Mr and Mrs Green said it would have been a great relief to (his parents) James and Hannah to hear their son speak for the first time since the accident.
