Woman stabbed multiple times before man comes to rescue
A VERBAL argument between two women escalated when one woman allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed the other in the neck and arm.
A 29-year-old Kawana woman has been charged following the incident at a Kent St home in Rockhampton overnight.
It will be alleged just after midnight the woman has attended the residence, and been involved in a verbal altercation with another woman, 41, at the address.
The altercation is then alleged to have escalated with the 29-year-old producing a knife and cutting the other woman.
The 41-year-old woman received a deep cut to the arm and a number of smaller cuts to the neck.
A man at the residence has intervened and the 29-year-old has then left the scene.
The 41-year-old woman was treated at the scene and taken to Rockhampton Base Hospital for treatment to her injuries.
Police attended a short time later and located the woman in a nearby street. She was arrested and later charged with one count of wounding.
A 29-year-old Kawana woman is due to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on September 5.
