
Man and woman shot during attack at Bundaberg home
UPDATE 3PM: A MAN and woman have been shot during a late-night gunfight in Bundaberg with police still searching for two men involved in the shootout.
Late this afternoon, SES and police were searching outside a McIlwraith Street home and along the street, at South Bundaberg.
Police said the shooting incident happened about 10.30pm yesterday, when a man and woman were approaching a Targo Street home.

The couple were ambushed by two men, who detectives believe were waiting for the couple.
A confrontation took place and multiple shots were fired.
One of the weapons was believed to be a shotgun, according to police.
During the altercation a woman, 36, was shot in the leg and then the two men fled the scene.
Later, a 55-year-old man, believed to be one of the men who ambushed the couple, was found at McIlwraith Street only a few blocks away from Targo Street, with a gunshot wound to the back of the neck.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said both the man and woman were taken to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
It is understood the man was later taken to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
Police investigations continue.

10AM: Police are still searching for two men involved in a shootout in Bundaberg overnight.
About 10.30pm, a man and a woman entering a home at Targo Street were confronted by two men.
Police said during the ensuing incident a number of shots were fired and a woman, 36, received a gunshot wound to her leg.
It is understood the woman lived at the property.
The two men fled the scene in an unknown direction.
An injured 55-year-old man, one of the men who ambushed the couple, was later found at McIlwraith Street with a gunshot pellet wound to the back of his neck.
Both the woman and man were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries but it's understood the man was later flown to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
A Queensland Police spokesman said detectives did not believe this was a random attack.
Police investigations continue.

8.30AM: A woman in her 30s suffered what appeared to be a gunshot wound to her leg overnight.
The woman was treated at Targo Street and then taken to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition, according to a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman.

She said the wound may have come from an air rifle, but those details were still being investigated.
The spokeswoman said a man in his 20s had "superficial entry and exit wounds to his face".
He was treated a few blocks away and also taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Bundaberg police are investigating a shooting in Bundaberg overnight.
Police media have confirmed a woman has been treated for a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police responded to reports of gunshots in McIlwraith Street and then Targo Street just before 11pm yesterday.
Witnesses say police closed down an area in Targo Street last night during the investigation.
The police spokesman said Bundaberg police were still following up a number of lines of inquiry into the incident.
