Woman in hospital after suffering burns aboard a boat
PARAMEDICS were dispatched to a call today at 8am to treat a 69-year-old woman who was burnt aboard a boat near Airlie Beach.
The woman received superficial and partial burns to her face, arms and chest due to a fire on the boat.
Paramedics reached her via VMR and treated her on scene before transporting her back to Proserpine Hospital.
She has since been airlifted to Mackay Base Hospital in a serious condition for further treatment.
