Woman to face manslaughter charge after car park death

Police have charged a woman with manslaughter following investigations into a fatal traffic incident that occurred in Booval late last year.

It will be alleged that at about 4.45pm on November 11, 2015 a 33-year-old woman was struck by an unoccupied vehicle that had rolled down the driveway of a car park located on Brisbane Rd.

Investigators from the Ipswich Forensic Crash Unit will allege the vehicle's handbrake was not engaged and the automatic transmission was still in 'drive'.

The 33-year-old woman from Redbank died at the scene.

A 29-year-old Brassall woman has been charged with one count of manslaughter and is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on September 20, 2016.
