Woman dies while scuba diving at Duranbah Beach
Police will investigate the death of a scuba diver at Duranbah Beach on Tuesday.
About 3.40pm, emergency services were called to the Tweed Heads beach after a woman got into trouble in while scuba diving at Little Cove with family.
The woman, a 52-year-old from Queensland, was pulled from the water, but she died at the scene.
First aid had been administered until paramedics arrived.
Tweed/Byron LAC detectives are investigating the incident, which they said was not being treated as suspicious.
The woman's scuba diving tanks were taken for scientific examination.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
