Woman charged with murdering brother and sister in cold case

A WOMAN has been charged with murdering a brother and sister in a cold case dating back to 2004.

The woman, now aged 34, is accused of murdering siblings April and Ian Bailey in May 2004 in Deception Bay.

Their bodies were found in their burnt-out home on May 28.

The woman was arrested on Saturday morning and charged later that afternoon.

She has also been charged with arson and possessing a dangerous drug.

Investigators reopened the case last year, applying new technology and techniques to evidence that was found at the scene.

The woman is expected to face Redcliffe Magistrates Court on Monday.
