Woman airlifted after serious crash north of Roma

A WOMAN is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after her ute collided with a truck 40km north of Roma.

The 47-year-old's car rolled several times after hitting the truck early last night on the Carnarvon Hwy.

The Surat Gas Aero-Medical Service helicopter airlifted the woman to Toowoomba Hospital with leg and chest injuries and difficulty breathing.

The truck driver escaped the crash with only minor injuries.
