WATCH: Agnes man's videos go viral with surfing dogs
SURFING with his "mates" has gained Agnes Water resident Chris de Aboitiz international attention and online fame.
It's because his mates aren't your usual surfing friends, they're dogs.
Videos of Mr de Aboitiz stand up paddle boarding with his dogs have gained more than 40 million views on the internet.
One of the latest, which was shared on the People are Awesome Facebook page, has almost two million views.
The video was shot in Sydney during his northern Australia tour where he raised awareness on rescue dogs and ways to bond with your pooch.
For 15 years he has surfed with his dogs and he said recently he had taken it to "new heights".
"On the tours we focus on educating and entertaining people in and out of the water."
"Everybody thinks it's an overnight success but we've been doing this for 15 years.
"We just surfed Bells Beach at the beginning of the tour and I had three dogs on the board, the waves were of pretty good size there," he said.
While on the road he visits animal rescue centres to help educate staff on dog behaviour.
"First I wanted to get everyone's attention.
"Now that we've got that it's about spreading our message of helping dogs and helping people," he said.
At the end of the month Mr de Aboitiz will travel up the northern Queensland coast, surfing beaches in between and teaching people about dog behaviour along the way.
