THE ducks are on the move, and the gentle quacking of a bird has never sounded so terrifying.

But when tens of thousands unite to sing the song of their mighty species, not even heavy vehicles can stop them.

Footage out of Thailand is again going viral since first making the rounds about 12 months ago.

It shows thousands of ducks paralysing roadways as commuters sit bemused and wait for the quacking torrents to pass.

It probably added to the frustration that ducks can fly, but have clearly decided to walk just to annoy drivers.

Even after one fowl wave subsides, there is another one close behind.

It is not clear if this is some quackpot scheme by a supervillain who somehow controls a personal army of ducks.
