VIDEO: Boy's torrent of abuse at police defended by mum

HER 12-year-old son may have called police "dumb dogs" and a "stupid pig" but his mother has told national media that he was simply defending himself.

Footage of the boy's expletive-laden tirade during his arrest in the western suburbs of Sydney has gone viral weeks after police took him into custody.

The boy is understood to have been arrested in Lethbridge Park near Mount Druitt, for allegedly throwing rocks at buses.
The video was put online by his mother.

When confronted by police, who tell him he has been throwing rocks at passing vehicles, the boy lashes them with a torrent of abuse.

His mother said she was proud of her son's actions captured in the video, because they showed him standing up for himself.

She denies that he threw rocks at passing vehicles.

"He'll stand the ground for himself. You don't hear the good things these kids do. It's just stereotypical Mount Druitt," she told 9News.
