Venice on Fire ready to rock the Roma Show

PREPARE to rug up and rock out when Roma’s Venice on Fire return to storm the Machinery Bar stage following the Friday night fireworks at the 130th Roma Show.

Despite last year’s chilly conditions, the alternative rock three-piece, made up of Tom Gillespie, Jarrod Hall and Darcy Cavanough, is thrilled to be performing and urges the community not to be put off by potentially cool weather.

Bassist and back-up vocalist Jarrod said showgoers could expect quality entertainment, with plenty of covers and a few original tunes.

“There are not a lot of local musicians like us in town, we’re really one of the only bands in Roma who are together in this capacity,” he said.

“It’s good that they (the Roma Show Society) are giving locals a change to play, every gig we get is appreciated and every one of them is practice for us to perfect our live sound.”

Drummer Darcy has been playing at the show for the past few years.

The young trio, who has become well-known in the region since they began playing together last year, released a smash single Kids Next Door and their debut release Home earlier this year.
