Vehicle intercept ends in Mitchell woman’s drug bust

A LEISURELY Sunday drive ended with the driver and passenger being busted with possessing and supplying drugs.

St George Police have charged a 25-year-old female driver when they intercepted her vehicle in Victoria St on Sunday, May 3 at 1pm.

They conducted a search and located an amount of amphetamine and cannabis.

The driver, from St George was charged with possessing dangerous drugs, possessing items used in connection with dangerous drugs and supplying dangerous drugs.

She appeared in custody in the Dalby Magistrates on May 5.

The 19-year-old female passenger from Mitchell was charged with possession of dangerous drug and supplying a dangerous drug.

She will appear in the St George Magistrates Court on June 16.
