AFTER nearly 10 years away, new Ferrier and Co employee Vanessa Lavelle is looking forward to being back where it all started.

Ms Lavelle has joined the team as a conveyancing clerk, bringing with her a decade's worth of experience.

Having worked under original principal Roger Ferrier before leaving, she said it was exciting to be back at the firm.

"I do all the legal paperwork if you buy or sell property in Roma,” she said.

"I'm extremely excited - I actually worked 10 years ago at the original Ferrier and Co firm, which was owned by local Roger Ferrier.

"I'm very excited to be back at the firm, which has a very good name, and hopefully do that name justice.”

New company director Trevor May said Ms Lavelle's role was directly related to the firm's focus in the areas of property and; wills and estate planning for the Maranoa.

"Vanessa has all the experience for conveyancing and has the local knowledge,” he said.
