A WRECKED red and yellow vehicle has been left abandoned on a road in southern New South Wales.

The mangled chassis has been noticed by police, who appear to have applied tape at the scene to assure passers-by that there was no need for further help.

The details of the wreck could not be confirmed, but appear to be a Little Tikes Cozy Coupe.

How it was crashed is also unclear, but police are yet to rule out underage driving or speeding.

It is also possible that a parental figure threw it out the side of an actual car after a child asked "Are we there yet?" for the 500th time on their road trip.
