KERRY Lynn is desperate for any news on his stolen property in the hope Christmas won't be ruined for his grandchildren.
Between November 28 and December 19, tools, equipment and quad bikes were stolen from a Southern Downs property set off the main road.
Five quad bikes, two unregistered but drivable cars and a vast range of tools and equipment were stolen in what police believe was an organised raid on the Reedy Creek Rd property.
The property is set about 6km off the road 40km west of Warwick.
"I went out there Saturday just gone and noticed one of my bits of gear out there was near the front gate," he said.
"I thought, 'oh s***, this doesn't look good', and when I got to the shipping containers, I found they had been broken into and the doors were wide open."
The three shipping containers had been locked with padlocks which Mr Lynn assumed were cut in the robbery.
Three generators, an air-compressor, battery inverter, a new chainsaw and a box trailer were also reported stolen.
A second-hand kitchen which Mr Lynn was going to install inside the shed where he slept while at the property was thrown on the ground outside the container.
Mr Lynn now lives in Brisbane but kept the 100ha property as a recreational block and had intended to take his grandchildren there over Christmas so they could ride the quad bikes.
"I was gob-smacked when I saw all the gear everywhere," he said.
"I didn't even bother trying to clean it up. I just walked out; I was so mad.
"I was planning to take the grandkids out there for Christmas.
"I mean, it's the kids who are really missing out."
He has called on anyone with information on what he believes was a planned raid on the property to contact police.
Police are investigating.
