Thief raids home while family sleeps

POLICE are warning Buderim residents to be mindful of home security after a break-in at a Jorl Ct home overnight.

Officers were called to the home about 4.39am Friday to reports someone had come through a rear door during the night.

The theft is believed to have occurred some time between midnight and 4am.

Police said the residents, who were home at the time, didn't report hearing anyone come in or out.

A wallet, purse and phones were taken from a kitchen bench.
