BASKETBALL: BY DAY, they work in their respective careers around town.

By night, they let it all out on the courts for a good time.

Dennis Cuyugan is one of the players at social basketball on Tuesday and Friday nights, which hosts a gathering of community members who play basketball after work.

Mr Cuyugan said the initiative started when a group of them hired out the courts from PCYC.

"We got a good time slot from 6pm, so it's a good way of relieving stress after work and getting together," he said.

"Some players have been here for longer than two years doing the same routine."

Some attendees participate in regional basketball tournaments held across places like Dalby and Brisbane.

Mr Cuyugan said the group never stops playing, even when many are on leave from work.

"As long as people are here it will go on," Mr Cuyugan said.

"We rarely stop playing throughout the year."
