THEATRE: Live kids show set to return to Maranoa
Maranoa kids won't have to travel to Toowoomba to enjoy an exciting and positive live performance, and it is set to be free of charge.
Sunshine Coast-based Jally Entertainment will be coming to all of the region's town halls in October 2021 to perform their show Goldilocks Rocks.
The 50-minute show is designed for children, aged between four and 10, and is based on the message: "It's good to be mindful of those around you and never talk to strangers."
The council will spend $4500 to bring the show to the region next year.
Councillor Julie Guthrie said this is a "very high calibre" performance for Maranoa.
"It deals with the same theme (every year) but uses a different presentation," Cr Guthrie said.
Councillor Johanne Hancock said the company has toured the region for four years, and the local schools involved have loved it.
The resolution to grant Jally access to the halls passed unanimously at the council's ordinary meeting on November 25.
