The staggering figure Armstrong Auto Group injects into Roma
DID you know Armstrong Auto Group's Roma dealership injects $3million into the local economy?
It's just one of the reasons why owner John Armstrong is so proud of the staff at the branch after 12 months.
It's been a year since Mr Armstrong took over the business from Southern Cross Automotive that went into receivership, and the team celebrated with a massive birthday sale across its entire fleet.
Mr Armstrong explained if you added up staff wages, council rates, energy bills, rent and purchases from local contractors, the company had injected considerable money into Roma.
"We want to be invested in this business and this community for a long time to come,” he said.
"We thought Roma was an important market (when we bought the business) - we're looking forward to the next few years here in Roma.
"The (staff) have absolutely met their targets; it's been a difficult situation but these guys have done a fantastic job to turn it around.”
General manager in Roma Ross Nicholas praised John and Jacqui Armstrong for their investment and commitment to the dealership over the past year.
"It's John and Jacqui's involvement in the business that has been the difference - we see them out here once a month and they know everyone's name,” he said.
"The team and staff here have taken to the change with open arms and the Armstrongs have breathed a fresh sense of enthusiasm and vision.
"The birthday sale was an incredible success and we're hoping to run another one very soon.”
