The latest fashion tips for Roma Rugby Races

FORGET the horses, we all know the real attraction of the races is the fashion and Fourth Born is your one stop race wear shop.

This Saturday, crowds will gather for the annual Rugby Race Day and you can find everything you need to put your best foot forward right here in Roma.

Fourth Born owner Carly Hicks believes that for this particular race day, ladies will be opting for felt head-wear instead of the traditional fascinator.

“The Rugby Races are pretty casual and most will just add a felt hat,” Ms Hicks said.

“Girls will layer up, so jackets and vests, because we are in winter at the moment.”

Ms Hicks said when choosing an outfit to aim for warmth and functionality as well as style as this day is more about practicality than anything else.

“Spring is usually when we stock fascinators and more head-wear whereas in winter a lot of it is felt hats,” Ms Hicks said.

“We have sold a lot of hats and jackets already but we have them in all shapes, sizes and colours.”

Fourth Born carries a number of fashion brands and has a range of clothing, shoes, accessories and jewellery for all different occasions.

The Rugby Race Day kicks off from 12.30pm and the football starts at 3.30pm where A and B-grades, Echidnas v USQ will play for control of the Risdon Cup.
