
Temperatures drop for coldest morning across Queensland
STANTHORPE definitely felt a chill today, with official temperatures showing the coldest morning across Queensland.
Official readings from the Bureau of Meteorology show that temperatures dropped to –4°C in Stanthorpe.
It was not the coldest morning for Stanthorpe though, with the lowest temperature so far recorded on Wednesday, May 25, dropping to –4.4°C.
The rest of the week is expected to warm up though, with temperatures remaining positive for the next week.
“It’s the coldest morning for the next week at least,” David Bernard from the Bureau of Meteorology said.
“It’ll reach around 0°C tomorrow morning but you still might see some local frost around.”
The remainder of today is expected to warm up, with temperatures reaching 18°C and sunny.
