Teenager and child involved in Wallumbilla rollover

A TEENAGER and a child have escaped serious injury after a single-vehicle rollover at 80km/h in Wallumbilla.

The 18-year-old was driving through Wallumbilla yesterday just before 11am with the three-year-old in the back when she became distracted, swerving the car off the road.

The girl then tried to turn it back onto the road, flipping the car in process.

Emergency crews attended the scene, but the child was unharmed while the girl sustained only minor head injuries.

Wallumbilla Senior Constable Shane Gillett reminded parents to pull over before attending to a child's needs whilst driving.
