Toowoomba teen still missing after seven weeks

AN EMOTIONAL appeal for information has brought few new leads on the whereabouts of missing Toowoomba teenager Emmadilla Peacock-Lewis.

Also known as Emma Lewis, the 15-year-old has not been seen since she left a French St home on September 28.

Police believed she was still alive and in the company of a much older man, Justin Bradburn, 42, Child Protection Investigation Unit Senior Sergeant Paul Hart said.

"There have been a few calls, with some from New South Wales and some in Tasmania as a result of the appeal, so it has generated some interest but not much locally," he said.

Police believe Bradburn was talking to another Toowoomba teenager online before he moved to the city to meet her in person.

That girl and Emmadilla knew each other, and what remains unclear is when Emmadilla met Bradburn.

"We believe she is still under the influence of the male person," Snr Sgt Hart said.

"She is the eldest child and is obviously a very caring child who has a very loving relationship with her siblings."

Bradburn was reported missing by family on October 31.
