Teen girl, 17, killed, another injured in crash near Grafton
A TEENAGE girl has died and another is in hospital after a crash north west of Grafton.
In a statement, police say the 17-year-old was killed when the Toyota Rav 4 she was driving ran off the road and crashed into a tree on Ramornie Station Road, at Ramornie, between Grafton and Jackadgery, about 6.40pm yesterday.
An 18-year-old girl who was a passenger in the car was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to Grafton Base Hospital "with non-life threatening injuries".
Police say no-one else was injured in the crash. There is no mention of any other vehicles being involved in the crash.
A crime scene has been established at the crash site and police are asking anyone who saw the crash or who saw the Rav 4 immediately before the crash to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
