Talented musical line up for 2016 program

GARDEN City Country Music Association Inc will commence its 2016 program with a bi-monthly social on Sunday February 14, commencing at 1pm at Trinity Lutheran Church Hall, Hume Street, Toowoomba.

After a successful 2015, this year is shaping up to be another good one with a host of talented artists lined up.

This month's special guest is Amanda Faulkner.

As the Garden City Country Music Rush Festival's overall performer for 2015, Amanda also received several awards at last year's Broxburn Country Music Festival, including third place in the Senior Female Vocal.

A first in the Senior Gospel and Rock 'n' Roll sections and a third in Senior Country Rock category followed.

Amanda's voice has been likened to Tania Kernaghan and Anne Kirkpatrick.

Having performed across the Darling Downs, Bell, Esk, Rosewood and Deepwater in NSW, Amanda is a regular performer at the West Toowoomba Bowls Club and Gatton RSL.

She has been a support act for top artists like Beccy Cole and James Blundell, and Star Maker winners Luke Austen and Luke Dickens.

Entry to February's social is $5 with raffles and a lucky door prize on offer.
