Sydney FC looking for a hat-trick

SYDNEY FC has a chance to complete a hat-trick of wins against Newcastle this season, but it will have to do so without a handful of stars at ANZ Stadium tonight.

The Sky Blues have lost Alex Gersbach, Andrew Hoole and Brandon O'Neill to Olyroos duty, while skipper Alex Brosque (hamstring) is out for up to four weeks.

The Jets have not won in their past nine games, but will welcome back Leonardo from injury and David Carney from suspension.

They have also signed Olyroos midfielder Steven Ugarkovic, who will be available after the completion of the Asian Under-23 Championship in Qatar. He has signed until the end of the 2016/17 A-League season.

Newcastle received a much-needed boost this week, with two of its emerging young talents - Nicholas Cowburn (two seasons) and Lachlan Jackson (one season) - penning contract extensions.

The match has been moved from Allianz Stadium to ANZ Stadium, with the Sky Blues' usual home ground being returfed.

Meanwhile, Irish striker Andy Keogh has been cleared to make his return for Perth against Adelaide United at nib Stadium tonight.

Keogh, who starred with 12 goals last season, has been training with the Glory since late last year.

The Glory parted ways with import Guyon Fernandez, who suffered ongoing foot and hamstring issues, so it could sign Keogh.

Diogo Ferreira is back from injury and Jacob Collard has been promoted to the Glory's match-day squad, while Marc Warren is suspended.

Eli Babalj and Ruon Tongyik have replaced the injured Osama Malk (quad) and Bruce Kamau (hamstring) for Adelaide.
