Sweet way you can help fight cancer

NOW in its 25th year, Australia's Biggest Morning Tea is one of the Cancer Council's leading fundraising events and the largest event of its kind in the country.

With an Australian being diagnosed with cancer every five minutes, it has never been a better time to get involved.

Mooreland's Bush Nursery will once again play host to Roma Cancer Council's morning tea on Sunday, May 20, from 8am-noon.

The Biggest Morning Tea will involve lots of morning tea goodies for sale, two different cent auctions at 10am and 11.30am, a cake stall and a multi-draw raffle.

Cancer Council committee member Annette Huntley said Australia's Biggest Morning Tea was a worthy cause everyone should get behind.

"It would be good to see as many locals out there as possible,” she said.

"The event caters for adults and children alike, and everyone is welcome.”

Prostate and breast cancers are the two most common cancers for men and women respectively in southwest Queensland.
