Govt seeks submissions from FIFO-affected families

THE Queensland Government's Planning and Natural Resources Committee is seeking written submissions from Queenslanders involved or impacted by fly-in fly-out work practices.

Member for Bundaberg Leanne Donaldson said the committee was considering issues including health impacts, health services, quality of housing, effects of 100% FIFO on communities, and the effectiveness of government responses.

Ms Donaldson said it was vital the committee received a wide range of views.

"It is important the Bundaberg community has an opportunity to have its say on FIFO and make submissions on how it affects them or how improvements could be made," she said.

Submissions close at 4pm on May 25, and can be emailed to ipnrc@parlia ment.qld.gov.au or mailed to the Research Director Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources Committee, Parliament House, George St, Brisbane, 4000.
