Yesterday, the Rockhampton Grammar School issued a 'stranger danger' message push after recent reports of 'unauthorised access to local schools by a person or people attempting to abduct or otherwise unlawfully interact with a child'.

Another social media post reported a Year 7 student from The Cathedral College was approached on Thursday by 'a very convincing gentleman' who told the student their parents has asked him to collect the child from school as there had been a family situation and there was no one else available to collect him.

The report about the TCC student stated the child ran straight to the school office and reported the approach.

This post suggested there had been an attempt in Gladstone in the past couple of weeks as well.

Police confirmed last week they were investigating the Emu Park incident.
