Stolen ute found burnt out

A HOLDEN ute reported stolen has been found burnt out on the side of the road.

Police were called to Southern Rd at about 9pm last night where the ute was parked on the side of the road, set alight.

The fire brigade extinguished the flames. As a result of the blaze, police said identifying fingerprints was unlikely.

Police said the vehicle was used to do donuts and participate in erratic driving along Southern Rd last night, about eight kilometres out of town.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward as investigations are ongoing.
