South west woman wins big in Lucky Lotteries draw

A DALBY woman has an extra $200,000 to pay off her mortgage following win in Friday's Lucky Lotteries draw.

The woman took home first prize in the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw along with an additional consolation prize of $1000.

Speaking with a Golden Casket official to confirm her prize, the woman said the news had come as a welcome surprise.

"I play every week but I have never won anything like this before. It is very nice,” she said.

"That will go straight on the mortgage. I will definitely sleep well tonight.”

The woman said the winning phone call had interrupted her day at work.

"I didn't know what the phone call was about, but I had a feeling it was important,” she said.

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Dalby Newsagency, 97-99 Cunningham Street, Dalby.

Dalby Newsagency manager Malene Price said the outlet was thrilled to have sold a major prize.

"I am absolutely ecstatic,” she said.

"We are thrilled for our winner and we wish her all the best.

"We last sold a division one prize in February last year, so we were certainly due for another.

"Hopefully we sell some more winning tickets soon and make more of our customers happy winners.”
