Social media blisters Sam Burgess over tackle
SOUTH Sydney's dual English international forward Sam Burgess has been labelled a grub following his heavy tackle on defenceless Brisbane rival Joe Ofahengaue during the Broncos 30-8 NRL win last night.
Social media Facebook and Twitter lit after after Burgess jumped on Ofahengaue, who had put himself at risk of being smashed by surrendering in the tackle.
The incident sparked a mid-field melee involving players from both sides.

Under the rules, Burgess could have placed a hand on Ofahengaue to complete the tackle but he wanted to fire up his team mates.

Does it get boring being a grub @SamBurgess8 ? Better than being known as the failed English rugby player. #NRLBroncosSouths

Someone try to tell me what rule Sam Burgess broke. He made a legal tackle. The referee got flustered and that's not good enough! #NRL

Sam Burgess could kill a man on the field and the commentators would still think he's done no wrong
