Snake hides in 4WD at Roma’s Westlands Plaza
A SNAKE is the last thing you want to find in your car.
One Roma driver had a nervous wait as a one-metre-long eastern brown snake was seen sliding into her car while she shopped.
Shoppers at Westlands Plaza spotted an eastern brown snake slithering on the ground of the car park.
Police were quick to the scene, but before the reptile could be caught it slithered into a parked four-wheel drive.
Snake catcher Ella Borchert, from ecology consultant group Boobook, was called to try and find the sneaky snake.
Unfortunately, after an extensive search in every nook and cranny of the car, the eastern brown was nowhere to be found.
"I don't think he's in the car anymore," Mrs Borchert said.
She said it was not the strangest place she had hunted for a snake, but it was all part of the job.
Just when the snake slithered out and where it went was a mystery.
