Severe thunderstorm warning for the Maranoa

RESIDENTS are being urged to seek shelter tonight, with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting damaging winds and storms for the Maranoa.

People living in the Darling Downs, Granite Belt and western regions will also be affected by strong winds and storms.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services have advised people to move your car undercover, seek shelter indoors and avoid using the telephone during the storm.
