"They should be very slow-movers and there's an outside chance a few places could cop some accumulations of small hail (and bursts of heavy rainfall)."
Hail has already been reported at Murrumba Downs, south of the Sunshine Coast.

BOM forecasters are saying there is a very high chance or rain, with up to 25mm expected in parts.
A thunderstorm is likely, they're saying, "possibly severe".
Queensland Police has tweeted for people to "batten down the hatches and stay tuned to warnings".
