Search at Palm Beach after body seen floating

A SEARCH is continuing at Palm Beach after police received information from a member of the public around 6.30am about a possible body in the water.

The area being searched is between 19th and 21st Avenue.

The person was described as being a man in his 20's with dark hair.

Police are searching the water using boats and jet skis as well as utilising a helicopter.

Clothing that police released images of which were of a Maktec by Makita hat and a white Volcan t-shirt have been claimed by a member of the public and is not related to this incident.

Police continue to appeal for anyone who may know of any person who may not have returned home from a morning swim in the Palm Beach area to please make contact with police.

Police have located an Orange Makita hat and a white Volcom t-shirt during a beach shirt this morning. They're urging anyone who might recognise the clothing or know someone who might be missing to contact police.
