Santos sub-contractor dead in Roma

A SANTOS subcontractor employed by the company McConnell Dowell has died on the outskirts of Roma.
Authorities are investigating if the 38-year-old man was suffering from heat stroke.
Today Fluor Australia stood down the Project's workforce.
Emergency services were called to treat the man at the site at The Bends about 8pm Sunday.
He had a heart attack on the way to hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival.
Santos sub contractor Fluor Australia extended its condolences to the family of the man.
The man had been performing work on the Santos GLNG upstream project over the last five months.
An investigation is underway into the cause of the incident.
