Santa’s the special guest as Wallumbilla celebrates
AS always, it was Santa who stole the show at the Wallumbilla Cabin Park Christmas party on Saturday.
Over 200 locals turned up and host Anne Albeck thanked Santa for his guest appearance as well as the community support.
"We had a sausage sizzle and crayfish racing auctioned off by GDL," Anne said.
"I've never seen so many crayfish run so fast."
Musical entertainment was provided by Reggie Rhyan (the artist formerly known as Travis Holland) and Anne said the rain dancing to Reggie's music proved effective.
"We got 40mm on the night," she said.
The night including the auction raised $3742 for Angel Flight with Mick and Petra Johnson winning the big prize on the night of two nights' accommodation at Waves Resort at Maroochydore.
Anne thanked all the volunteers on the night and the sponsors: ProBuild Civil, GDL, Parker's Wallumbilla General Store, Dulacca Transport, Waves Resort, BCIS, Explorers, Mitre 10, Ladbrook's Butchery and Queensland Country Meats.
