Ryly leads the junior charge at Roma Show

Roma’s Ryly Zoellner has a special bond with her eight-year-old Halo, and now he has a brand-new coat to keep him warm.

The coat is Ryly’s prize after the nine-year-old swept the field at the Roma Show as the best junior local show jumper.

She said the prize was certainly unexpected, but also a rich reward for hard work.

“I did not expect that but I’m really happy with it,” she said.

When asked about Halo, Ryly said their close bond was due to having ridden him for a couple of years.

“He rides pretty smooth and he has a good temperament,” she said.

In the senior ranks, Clem Smith claimed the main gong riding Guru for the second year running.
