Rotary raises $20,000 for Pinaroo Roma

PINAROO aged care facility has a lot to celebrate with the Rotary Club of Roma donating $20,000 from their fundraiser to go towards expanding the centre.

Pinaroo facility manager Ian Murphy said the Rotary Club did an amazing job in association with Pinaroo.

“Due to the fact we have 50 residents we are always at full capacity,” he said.

“Our patients’ care needs change regularly, the $20,000 will go towards buying new equipment, such as new hospital beds.

“On behalf all the residents and staff at Pinaroo we would like to thank the Rotary Club for their support.”

Organiser of the event and Rotary Club member Norm Fowles said the fundraiser was such a great success, they were looking at making it a biannual event.

“Thanks to everyone for their support and the local organisations for their sponsorship to help fund the event, without their help it wouldn’t be possible.

“We look forward to bigger and better things next year, and love to see community members involved in Rotary.”
