A 19-YEAR-old Roma man has pleaded guilty to four drug offences, including supplying cannabis.

Magistrate Peter Saggers warned Trae Derrick Scott Batchelor that he must stop now before it eventuates into more serious offending and significant penalties.

The court heard at about 12.35pm on October 15, Roma police executed a search warrant at Batchelor’s residence and located 11 clipsal bags containing about a gram of cannabis each.

Police prosecutor sergeant David Longhurst said police located a medium clipseal bag containing 8.4 grams of cannabis, $250 cash, a set of scales and one unused clipsal bag.

“In relation to the clipsal bags, the defendant stated it was for personal use,” sergeant Longhurst said.

“In relation to possessing 8.4 grams of cannabis, he made admissions to it.”

The prosecutor asked the magistrate to seek forfeiture of all utensils and cash.

“This can quickly become more serious offending and can result in significant penalties.”
