Roma pub worker suffers vicious attack while working behind bar

Police have identified the alleged offender who assaulted a young bar worker at a licensed venue in Roma.

Roma police allege about 11.45pm on Saturday, February 13 a 30-year-old Injune man, who was accompanied by a 38-year-old Roma man and 30-year-old Injune woman, attacked an 18-year-old Roma male who was working at one of the local hotels.

The Injune man allegedly walked behind the bar and assaulted the teenager, punching him in the face before grabbing him around the head and driving his knee into his face.

Shortly after, the man allegedly decamped with the two other people.

Police officers reviewed CCTV footage to identify the three people. l

The matter is still ongoing.
