Roma pub found to have breached liquor licensing laws

A VENUE in Roma has breached the Liquor Act 1992.

The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) inspected five licensed venues in town during the September 4-5 weekend to ensure compliance with liquor and gaming obligations and the Chief Health Officer’s directions.

While undertaking compliance activities, officers identified one venue had breached the Liquor Act 1992.

“OLGR has completed an investigation into a venue in Roma that breached the Liquor Act 1992,” a spokesperson said.

“Due to privacy provisions outlined under the Liquor Act, no further information in relation to this matter can be provided.

“Officers educated the five venues that were found to require improvement around their contact information record keeping obligations under the Chief Health Officer’s Restrictions on Businesses, Activities and Undertakings Direction.”

The Western Star approached all five venues, each stating it was not their venue who received a breach notice.
