Roma Police stopped NT man with fireworks in his car

A NORTHERN Territory man has had his trip through Roma end with a bang after he was found with nearly 20 fireworks in his car. 

The 45-year-old was stopped on Sunday night, where police found 19 items of fireworks and some cannabis.

He has been given a notice to appear in court for the fireworks and was given drug diversion therapy.

The possession of fireworks is illegal in Queensland.
