Roma police find puppy in plastic bag

ROMA police are conducting investigations after a resident reported finding a dead puppy in a plastic bag last night.

The puppy was found on the side of McPhie Street and police were notified around 9.30pm.

 A plastic bag was tied up around the body of the dog and a metal tin placed over its head.

Police attended the scene and will continue to investigate the cause of the animals death and the possibility of animal cruelty.
