Roma gives generously to Relay for Life
ROMA'S Relay for Life has been an amazing success, with more than $13,000 raised.
There were 23 teams and 170 participants who walked throughout the night to help make a difference in the fight against cancer.
Cancer Council Queensland chief executive officer Professor Jeff Dunn thanked the community for their outstanding support of the event on the weekend.
"The event was a tremendous success,” Prof Dunn said.
"A special thank-you to the local Relay For Life Committee and volunteers who gave their time to champion our cause for the community,” he said.
"Because of Relay we are one step closer to a cancer- free future.”
All funds raised through Relay For Life enable Cancer Council Queensland to invest in life-saving research, prevention programs, and patient support services.
Donations to Relay can still be made via relayforlife.org.au.
