Roma girl's expert tipping wins her NRL grand final tickets
RHONDA Dolgner can now lay claim to being Roma's greatest footy tipper - and she's got the prize to match.
Ms Dolgner and her partner Andrew will now head to Sydney on Friday to watch the NRL Grand Final after she won The Western Star's Footy Tipping Competition.
The Mounts Machinery employee just pipped Paul Larsen from Andersen's by two points in the final round of the NRL competition three weeks ago.
The pair were neck-and-neck heading into the final round, with their tips on the Eels-Warriors match proving the difference in the end.
Ms Dolgner said she took her tips very seriously this year, watching match highlights and key games throughout the season to ensure she was making the most informed decision.
"I always watched Origin but I was more into it this year,” she said.
"I watched the games and highlights on TV - I also looked for Webby's (Shane Webcke) and Gilly's (Trevor Gillmeister) tips on the news.”
The NRL Grand Final on Sunday will be contested by the Melbourne Storm and the Cronulla Sharks.
Ms Dolgner said she enjoyed being part of The Western Star's Footy Tipping competition.
Other competing local businesses included Roma Windscreens, Roma Powder Coating, Roma Containers and Rayners Auto Electrical.
